endurance.

Yesterday I did something crazy.  I completed my first half marathon.  The reason it's so crazy is because I didn't train at all for this half marathon (I do NOT recommend doing this...haha).  As I was lined up waiting for my corral to hear our count-down and embark on our 13.1 mile journey, the magnitude of what I was about to do started to set in.  My ankle was hurting on mile 1. THE FIRST MILE!! By the time I hit the 10k mark I had to stop and get it wrapped.  With every single step I took I felt a stabbing pain shoot up my left ankle, it was horrible.  Around mile 10 I was crying and thinking there was no possible way I would make it 3.1 more miles, it just wasn't going to happen.  But I did. I continued to put one foot in front of the other - I didn't let the pain get the most of me.  Right now, I'm going through a gut-wrenching situation that, at times, I honestly don't believe I will survive.  I don't know if I can keep putting one foot in front of the other, if I can make it through this.  But after yesterday, I know that with ENDURANCE, I can and I WILL make it through.
